Xipe Totec (shee-pey toh-tek), the Aztec flayed god of life, death, and rebirth, symbolizes the Earth’s renewal of the seasons as life sheds its dead “skin”, and spring vegetation sprouts from seed. This unique, old-world inspired flavor brings together dried chilis, sweet plums, and earthy spices in a mild but richly flavored sauce. Use it to enhance grilled meats and vegetables, roasted and baked potatoes, chili, BBQ dishes, and fried eggs. 1/10 heat.

Boy, just tried Totec with Rancho Gordo Ayocote Morado beans and so good! The beans are huge and creamy with a chocolatey sauce, cooked simply with bay leaf, garlic, onion, s & p. Add some spoonfuls of Totec—they were made for each other.
Rancho Gordo has the best beans around.

My stomach does not like hot stuff one bit. Gerd,hiatel hernia etc. Toltec Tears has just enough bite for me, tastes amazing on my eggs and doesn't upset the tummy! So so happy I found you on IG!
I'm gonna need it in a bigger jar because it's going on everything. Since I bought it, it's been on every taco, all the eggs, I put it on a burger, a salad, I dipped chips in it... It's so good, whenever I'm using it I usually give the spoon an extra dip just so I can lick it off- It's nuts.
